I am, at this point, interested in how you apply the management knowledge and techniques discussed. Expect a few of these for the following reasons:

1. I need to grade thoughtfully and fairly

2. Attendance does not always equate to attentive learning. 

3. The results of my quick quizzes are part of my documentation, as are my notes on your work and comportment in the class. The following is my verbatim from the syllabus (contract) and a check under the syllabus tab will reveal all criteria upon which I assign a grade:

The student’s ability to demonstrate understanding of the concepts in this course is the ultimate basis for final evaluation. Accordingly, the overall evaluation will include a subjective adjustment based on the student’s verbal and written indication of mastery as well as his/her participation in class. I’ll determine your final grade in the course using the points you have earned on your assignments as a guideline.  Be engaged in the class and expect good results. I am available to every student should you need guidance or assistance.
