Sustainable Community Problem Solving - Reply With Answers Due 4-24

Hi all, in light of the challenges you are experiencing as a result of the major shift to online, I am offering the following, simple approach. I don't plan to have a traditional final, but do please finish the assignment on the home page.

Below is a 10-question open-notes assessment on last week’s homework reading assignment. In order to derive the full value of this assessment, please take your time answering the questions, and do all you can to be sure they are correct. This can be a simple submission to me: ex., 1-A, 2-B, 3-C, etc. That’s all to be submitted this week.

As always please put in the subject line of your email   460-01  or   460-02.    Many Thanks ALL!

For next week’s continued discussion, I want you to be thinking of sustainability in relation to a specific community. It can be the sustainable management approaches so desperately needed in Flint, MI, the need to rebuild sustainably in Paradise, Concow, and other affected CA communities – or, perhaps, the situation in Chico governance which some consider to be at, or near, a crisis point (homelessness, needle exchange, violence).

I am not asking you to solve problems here and now, but hold that specific situation in your mind as you apply this tool to reframing issues that are crucial to more sustainable management of our communities in the future:
